Jazz pianist, composer, and MacArthur fellow Jason Moran curates this series of performances, which include appearances by artist and musician Jasper Marsalis, poet, musician, and activist Moor Mother and her free-jazz quintet Irreversible Enganglements (IE), multi-disciplinary artist EJ Hill, and playwright, director, producer, and actress Radha Blank.
2024 Making Space at the Armory Series
March 14–December 9, 2024
Curated by writer and scholar Tavia Nyong'o, this series of happenings make space for new points of view and unique perspectives from a diverse array of artists, scholars, cultural leaders, and social trailblazers including Richard Kennedy, Claudia Rankine, Homi Bhabha, Saidiya Hartman, Shamel Pitts, Dorian Wood, and many others.

Inside Light

Electronic selections from classical renegade Karlheinz Stockhausen's magnum opus, Licht, are performed as separate parts or in a full marathon with transformative lighting and video projections to fully immerse audiences in all-encompassing sound and surroundings in the vastness of the Wade Thompson Drill Hall.
R.O.S.E.

Choreographer Sharon Eyal, her creative partner Gai Behar, Caius Pawson of the London-based multi-arts organization Young, and DJ Ben UFO join forces to dissolve the boundaries between stage, dancer, and spectator in the North American premiere of this Armory commission, which serves as an open invitation to watch, dance, and come together on the dance floor in a setting like no other.
Indra's Net

Composer, singer, director, choreographer, filmmaker, and creative pioneer Meredith Monk returns to the Armory with the highly anticipated North American premiere of Indra's Net, an immersive work that is part performance, part installation, inspired by the ancient Buddhist/Hindu parable Indra's Net, which illustrates life's interconnectedness.
