Followed by Gala Dinner
Dress: All That Glitters
Join us for Park Avenue Armory’s 2025 Gala: Sound Wave, a celebration of the Armory’s artistic programming and our commitment to providing critical arts education programs in underserved New York City public schools.
The evening will feature a performance of the highly anticipated North American premiere of 11,000 Strings by composer Georg Friedrich Haas. This 60-minute spatial work, where the audience is surrounded by the phenomenal musicians of Klangforum Wien and 50 micro-tuned pianos, creates a mesmerizing sound world that ranges from chillingly tender melodic moments to the exhilarating roar of a looming weather storm. An elegant Gala Dinner will follow in the center of the performance space.
