Michael Riesman, Organ
Conducted by James Bagwell
The Collegiate Chorale
Brooklyn Youth Chorus
Originally composed in 1977, Another Look at Harmony – Part IV features a 100-person-strong chorus accompanied by Philip Glass’ Music Director and Organist, Michael Riesman. The chorus will be comprised of The Collegiate Choral and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. The musical themes of this piece feed directly to Glass’s well-known masterwork, Einstein on the Beach and the epically-scaled performance is a fitting conclusion to the Tune-In Music Festival, which celebrates Philip Glass’s extraordinary impact on the musical, artistic and humanistic threads of all our lives.
Run Time: 62 minutes. No Intermission.
Major support provided by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, The Reed Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo, the New York State Legislature, and The Amphion Foundation, Inc. and the Rodgers & Hammerstein Foundation.
