Associate Director of Corporate Relations

Part American palace, part industrial shed, Park Avenue Armory is dedicated to supporting unconventional works in the visual and performing arts that need non-traditional spaces for their full realization, enabling artists to create and audiences to experience epic and adventurous presentations that cannot be mounted elsewhere in New York City.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE RELATIONS
The Associate Director of Corporate Relations will report directly to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), who sets fundraising strategies together with the President. This role is responsible for day-to-day management of the Armory’s corporate sponsors and donors as well as for driving the long-term corporate fundraising strategies of the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Season Sponsor Stewardship: management of the Armory’s Season Sponsorships, including benefit fulfillment, employee engagement, monthly communications, invitations, ticketing, marketing activations, and event planning. Field requests from employees and partners on a regular basis. Lead renewal process and new contract development; track and report on all partnership deliverables. Issue invoices and acknowledgements as necessary.
• Partnership Development: identify and research prospects and funding opportunities, meet with potential donors, prepare proposals for sponsorship, grants, membership, and in-kind support, develop new contracts and administer benefits.
• Corporate Membership Program: Oversee and grow the developing Corporate Membership Program. Plan and execute three Member Events per year. Cultivate corporate entertaining strategy.
Strategy: develop strategic plan to reach annual fundraising goals; propose new funding strategies based on research and analysis; establish and implement cultivation and stewardship strategies in close collaboration with the CDO, President, and Board

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and five to seven years experience in corporate sponsorship and fundraising, preferably for a cultural organization. Event experience is a plus. 

Candidates will be self-starters with an entrepreneurial spirit and well-honed skills in developing cultivation strategies, presentation materials, and in managing relationships with high-level partners and executives. Successful candidates will take initiative during independently managed projects, exercise strong strategic planning and analysis skills, operate well in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate excellent teamwork and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Polished written and interpersonal communications skills are critical.

COMPENSATION:
Salary range is commensurate with experience.
